The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, says Nigerian women have resolved to mobilise 10 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Sulaiman-Ibrahim stated this in Abuja at the Pre-Inaugural Summit for Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment, where APC women formally declared their support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.

The Minister said women’s participation in national development had moved beyond rhetoric, citing interventions in enterprise, agriculture, financial inclusion, social protection and the care economy under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
She said; “Let me be clear: the women’s mandate is not peripheral; it is central to our national development. Nigerian women are the heartbeat of this nation’s progress. When I first resumed office, I said it clearly: It is women o’clock!”
She said the administration had expanded women empowerment frameworks across the 774 Local Government Areas, promoted financial literacy and strengthened support for women-led businesses.
Highlighting the Nigeria for Women Project, she said; “Take our Nigeria for Women Project as an unprecedented example of what intentional investments in women can look like and the massive returns they yield: from a 100 million dollar investment, Nigerian women saved over 10 billion naira of their own money!”
Access to Agriculture
According to her, women were also gaining greater access to agriculture, clean cooking and opportunities in the oil and gas sector, while social-development measures were improving family welfare.

She further commended First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her leadership, saying: “You have shown us that leadership takes more than hard work-it takes heart work.”
Turning to the 2027 election, the Minister said: “Today also marks our formal declaration as Nigerian women and our definitive decision-our one choice: Tinubu-Shettima 2027. That is the only choice.”
She said the women’s mobilisation structures had been developed to deliver 10 million votes for Tinubu, urging stakeholders to translate political support into grassroots action.
“Now is the time to deploy, to mobilise, and to invest,” she said.
Sulaiman-Ibrahim praised President Tinubu’s reforms, describing his administration as one that had “put a human face to government,” while expressing optimism that the proposed Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0 would deepen investment in women.

She said the next phase should enable Nigerian women to pursue economic prosperity without having to choose between family responsibilities and personal advancement.
“The road is clear, the vision is set, and victory is ours. Don’t be left behind!” she declared.
The mobilisation comes as APC women consolidate a unified campaign structure ahead of the 2027 elections, following the First Lady’s inauguration of the Presidential Women Campaign Council.
The summit which brought together APC women leaders, stakeholders and delegates from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections, featured the empowerment of women with freezers, grinding machines, tricycle bikes, sewing machines and financial support by the First Lady , Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
