Women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have pledged to mobilise women across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
They made the commitment at the Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Summit in Abuja, where they called for stronger grassroots networks, coordinated mobilisation and increased participation of women in the political process.
The APC National Women Leader, Mary Alile Idele, said the task before progressive women was to translate the gains and opportunities of the Renewed Hope Agenda into tangible benefits for families and communities.

Alile commended the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, for convening the summit and promoting women’s empowerment, describing the theme, “Renewed Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity”, as a call to action.
She urged women leaders to strengthen their networks across wards, local government areas and communities, identify women in need of support and connect them with available empowerment opportunities.
According to her, APC women should also take the message of reform, opportunity and prosperity to communities while strengthening collaboration among women leaders, elected women, support groups, professional bodies, market women and other stakeholders.
She said the mobilisation should translate into measurable action through clearly defined responsibilities, functional grassroots structures, regular engagement and accountable results.
“My dear sisters, the time to organise is now; the time to act is now; and the time to turn renewed hope into prosperity is now,” Alile said.
She reaffirmed the commitment of APC women to supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
“On behalf of progressive women globally, I reaffirm our commitment to working with all women stakeholders to build a stronger, more united and prosperous Nigeria and ensure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” she said.
Also speaking, the Chairperson of the House of Representatives Spouses Association (HORSA), Hajia Fatima Abbas Tajudeen, described Nigerian women as partners, leaders and active contributors to national development rather than mere beneficiaries.

Tajudeen commended the Tinubu administration for what she described as bold leadership and inclusive policies, particularly its focus on women’s empowerment.
She also praised the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiatives, saying the programmes had supported women through interventions in economic empowerment, social inclusion, education, healthcare and family welfare.
Tajudeen called on Nigerian women to unite under the slogan, “One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027”, and participate actively in the democratic process.
She said HORSA, with networks across the 360 federal constituencies, remained committed to mobilising, engaging and amplifying the voices of women at the grassroots.

The Wife of the Kwara State Governor and Chairperson of the Governors’ Spouses Forum, Olufolake AbdulRazaq, also pledged the support of APC women across the country for the party’s candidates in the 2027 elections.
AbdulRazaq said women were already benefiting from government interventions, including grants under the Renewed Hope Initiative for older persons, women, persons with disabilities and young people.
“So today, we are happy to gather here, and it is APC all the way, from top to bottom. All our great women are here, and we are ready for all the campaigns across the states and the zones. We are ready to vote for all APC candidates,” she said.
She said delegates representing the 36 states and more than 774 local government areas were prepared to mobilise support for the APC.

“Your Excellency, we assure you that we are ready and ready to go. We are going to follow the man who knows the road, President Bola Tinubu,” AbdulRazaq said.
The summit was convened by the First Lady as part of efforts to strengthen women’s mobilisation, empowerment and participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
