The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has assured applicants seeking recruitment into four Nigerian security agencies that they will not pay for the mandatory Drug Integrity Tests, following a bulk payment by the Ministry of Interior to cover the exercise.

The affected agencies are the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

In a statement, the NDLEA said it had concluded arrangements to conduct the mandatory Drug Integrity Test (DIT) as part of the recruitment process.

The agency stressed that applicants and personnel participating in the exercise must not pay any fees to NDLEA officials, testing centres or through other payment channels.

It explained that the Ministry of Interior had already made a bulk payment to cover the tests for all new recruits.

The NDLEA warned candidates and the participating agencies against making additional payments, emphasising that applicants were not required to make any financial contribution towards the exercise.

The agency also outlined the registration process for candidates preparing for the tests.

According to the statement, applicants should access the NDLEA Drug Integrity Test portal through designated links or access points on their respective institutional portals.

Candidates are expected to use the platform to complete the required registration and documentation before proceeding to the testing stage.

The arrangement is intended to ensure an orderly and efficient process while eliminating individual payments.

The NDLEA acknowledged the cooperation of the Ministry of Interior and reaffirmed its commitment to the smooth, transparent and efficient implementation of the exercise.

The Drug Integrity Test forms part of the recruitment requirements for new personnel entering the four security agencies under the Ministry of Interior.
