Dadinkowa Power project to receive government intervention

The 40MW Dadinkowa Power project in Gombe State, North-east Nigeria, will soon receive Federal Government intervention.

The Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu, who was recently appointed to the Ministry, said he would study relevant papers pertaining to the Power projects and make appropriate recommendation for the completion of the project.

Aliyu stated this when the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Abuja.

The Minister, who appreciated the Governor for taking time off to see him, and congratulate him on his elevation from Minister of State, Works and Housing to Substantive Minister of Power of the Federal Republic.

He described the visit as brotherly and friendly. The Governor on his part said he was in Abuja to congratulate his brother and friend on his new appointment as a Minister of Power.

He added that it was an opportunity to brief the Minister on the state of the 40MW Dadinkowa Power project and other hydropower projects in Gombe State that needed Federal Government intervention.
