The Kwara State chapter of the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) group has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the reappointment of Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for a second term in office.
In a statement signed by the State Coordinator, Nurudeen Imam, the group described the reappointment as a clear recognition of professionalism and a well-deserved reward for exceeding expectations.
The group expressed gratitude for the administration’s sensitivity to ensuring balance and equity in recruitment to top-level federal jobs, without compromising on competence.
“We see this as a testament to Mr. President’s commitment to rewarding excellence. It affirms that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan but a reality that values performance and fairness,” Imam said.
More Northern Appointments
The group appealed to President Tinubu to appoint more competent Nigerians of northern extraction to key positions.
According to A4A, such appointments would strengthen the bond between the administration and the region and make it easier for support groups to advance the President’s mandate.

The group also commended the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for his unwavering support for the President and for representing the North creditably in the administration.
They acknowledged Ribadu’s contributions to national security.
The group also commended the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his exemplary leadership.
“We are fully aware of our unique position in Kwara. It is a state where the opposition is as much in support of President Tinubu’s reappointment as members of the ruling party.
” To us in Kwara, President Tinubu is not just a leader; he is our own Asiwaju and Jagaban, and we remain grateful for his visionary leadership,” the group stated.
The group also used the platform to commend President Tinubu for the various infrastructure development projects currently ongoing across Kwara State.
They noted that the projects are a clear demonstration of the administration’s commitment to the welfare and progress of the people of the state.
