AFNIS 2026 Targets Africa’s Industrial Growth – Minister

Hauwa Gidado, Abuja

Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, says the 5th African Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS 2026) will focus on unlocking bankable projects, deepening regional cooperation and advancing policies that support Africa’s industrialisation.

The summit, scheduled for June 23–25, 2026, at the State House Conference Centre, is expected to bring together governments, global investors, development partners and industry leaders from across Africa and beyond.

Speaking ahead of the event, Alake said the summit’s theme, “One Africa, One Resource Vision,” reflects a commitment to building a shared continental strategy for minerals, energy and industrial development.

“This year we go further, unlocking bankable projects, deepening regional cooperation and driving policy that supports Africa’s industrial future,” the Minister disclosed.

According to him, AFNIS has evolved into a key platform for converting Africa’s vast natural resource wealth into economic value through investment partnerships and policy engagement.

“AFNIS is a high-level platform that brings together governments, global investors, development partners and industry leaders to turn Africa’s natural wealth into real economic value,” he stated.

Alake noted that previous editions of the summit had supported major investment discussions and strengthened partnerships across the continent and internationally.

Describing the 2026 edition as a defining moment for Africa, he said the event would help advance a collective vision for resource development beyond national boundaries.

“Under the theme ‘One Africa, One Resource Vision,’ we are moving beyond national boundaries to build a shared continental strategy for minerals, energy and industrial development,” he noted.

The Minister called on investors and stakeholders to participate in the summit and support efforts to shape Africa’s economic future.

“I have the honour and pleasure to invite you to be part of this defining moment and invest in Africa’s future. Powered by Africa and for Africa,” Alake added.
