President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, to participate in the two-day Africa CEO Forum after concluding his engagements at the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya.

He arrived at Kigali International Airport, also known as Kanombe Airport, at 1:58 p.m. local time on Wednesday and was received by Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, and other senior government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Director-General Mohammed Mohammed, and Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare.

The Nigerian leader is attending the Africa CEO Forum, scheduled for 14 and 15 May in Kigali, which brings together heads of state, business executives, investors, and policymakers from across Africa and beyond to deliberate on strategies for accelerating the continent’s economic growth and industrial competitiveness.

The 2026 edition of the forum is themed “Scale or Fail: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership,” highlighting the need for African countries and industries to pool capital, infrastructure, technology, and markets to compete effectively on the global stage.

The forum is expected to feature high-level discussions on regional integration, industrialisation, intra-African trade, innovation, infrastructure financing, and private sector collaboration aimed at strengthening Africa’s economic resilience.

President Tinubu is also expected to engage global investors and African business leaders as part of ongoing efforts by his administration to attract investment, deepen economic reforms, and position Nigeria as a leading destination for business and industrial expansion in Africa.

It would be recalled that the Nairobi summit centred on economic transformation, strategic partnerships, investment promotion, and sustainable development across the African continent.
