Polytechnics received ₦5.8 billion for 46 institutions, while 41 colleges of education were allocated ₦4.7 billion.

The intervention is part of the Nigerian Government’s efforts to address infrastructure needs in public tertiary institutions and implement agreed measures under its Memorandum of Understanding with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The ministry said the funds were expected to enable beneficiary institutions to commence or advance approved projects targeting critical infrastructure gaps and other identified institutional needs.

It added that effective coordination among the Ministries of Finance and Education, as well as the beneficiary institutions, would be essential to translating the funding into tangible improvements in educational infrastructure and institutional capacity.

The Federal Ministry of Finance advised members of the public seeking details of the beneficiary institutions and their allocations to visit its official website.
