Ahmadiyya Leader Charges Women on Faith, Morality

The worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has urged Muslim women to remain steadfast in their faith, uphold high moral values and play a leading role in nurturing future generations grounded in religious teachings.

Addressing more than 19,000 women during the ongoing Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana UK) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Alton, Hampshire, the spiritual leader stressed the importance of prioritising faith and righteousness in an era marked by increasing social and moral challenges.

He said true spiritual success could only be attained through consistent devotion, self-discipline and adherence to divine guidance, noting that faith should not be treated as a temporary commitment but as a lifelong responsibility.

Hazrat Ahmad warned against the growing influence of societal trends that encourage materialism at the expense of moral and spiritual values. He urged women to remain vigilant and ensure that their homes serve as centres of faith, discipline and moral instruction.

The Ahmadiyya leader emphasised that mothers occupy a critical position in shaping the character and future of their children. He called on women to invest time in their spiritual development so they can effectively guide younger generations amid rapidly changing social realities.

He also encouraged women to deepen their understanding of the Holy Qur’an by reading it regularly and reflecting on its teachings. According to him, a proper understanding of the Qur’an would equip believers with the knowledge required to address misconceptions about Islam and respond confidently to contemporary challenges.

Hazrat Ahmad noted that modern communication platforms have transformed the way information is consumed, exposing young people to a wide range of influences. While acknowledging the benefits of technology, he cautioned against content that weakens religious values and distracts individuals from their spiritual obligations.

He therefore urged parents, particularly mothers, to monitor the moral and intellectual development of their children and to foster an environment where faith, education and good conduct are encouraged.

The spiritual leader further highlighted the importance of prayer, describing it as a powerful means of seeking divine guidance and protection. He said sincere prayers, coupled with righteous actions, strengthen believers in times of difficulty and uncertainty.

The women’s session of the convention also featured Qur’anic recitation, religious presentations and the recognition of outstanding academic achievements among students. Awards were presented to high-performing students in various educational categories as part of efforts to encourage excellence in learning.

Jalsa Salana UK is one of the largest annual gatherings of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, attracting tens of thousands of participants from more than 90 countries. The convention provides a platform for discussions on faith, morality, education, peacebuilding and contemporary social issues.

Throughout the event, religious scholars, community leaders and invited guests address participants on issues affecting society and the role of faith in promoting peace, unity and mutual understanding.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad is expected to deliver a series of addresses during the convention, offering guidance on spiritual growth, family values and the responsibilities of believers in an increasingly complex world.
