As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s education reform agenda, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has commenced the distribution of learning materials to public basic education schools across the state.

The intervention, implemented in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Abuja, includes educational supplies comprising of exercise books, textbooks, statutory instructional resources, interactive digital boards, charts, school bags, sporting equipment, and other classroom support items.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Executive Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, said the initiative reaffirms the state government’s commitment to transforming basic education and improving learning outcomes across Anambra State.

She said the distribution is part of sustained investments aimed at strengthening instructional delivery, supporting teachers, and enhancing the overall quality of basic education.

According to her, the Soludo administration is deliberately building a future-ready education system anchored on smart schools, digitally equipped teachers, and learners prepared for emerging global demands.

She also praised UBEC for its continued partnership and support in strengthening foundational education delivery.

She noted that the administration has recorded progress in school rehabilitation, teacher capacity development, and technology-driven learning initiatives, which she said are repositioning education as a central pillar of the state’s development strategy.

The administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo has continued to demonstrate that education remains the foundation of sustainable development in Anambra State,” she said.

Representing UBEC, Mr. Kingsley Nlewedim reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to improving basic education nationwide. He said the materials were supplied under UBEC’s intervention programme to enhance classroom instruction, improve learning environments, and support co-curricular activities, including sports.
