Angola claimed their first win of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 qualifiers when they defeated Southern African rivals Malawi 3-1 in Luanda to complete the Matchday 2 fixtures.
The victory takes Angola to four points from their opening two matches, level with Group B leaders Egypt, who are ahead of them by goal difference.

Malawi remain on three points after they were unable to build on their opening-day victory over South Sudan.
Angola took an early lead when Milson scored inside three minutes before Mabululu doubled the advantage late in the first half.
However, Malawi found a way back into the game when they forced Kialonda Gaspar to put the ball into his own net, leaving them 2-1 behind at the break.

Angola made the points safe, though, as Miro added a third 20 minutes from the end to complete a convincing home victory and leave them unbeaten in their opening two qualifiers.

Angola next face back-to-back home-and-away fixtures against South Sudan in November, while Malawi will take on Egypt in their next two matches.
The next edition of the continental finals will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from 19 June to 17 July 2027.
