As the All Progressives Congress, APC, prepares for its nationwide local government and ward congresses, the Bashir Bolarinwa Omolaja-led caretaker committee faction in Kwara State says it has secured nominations for all it’s aspirants.
Addressing newsmen on Thursday in Ilorin, the state capital, the caretaker legal adviser of the party in the state, Barrister Ladi Mustapha, confirmed that the APC group led by Bolarinwa is prepared for the Congresses slated for Saturday provided every other thing remains constant.
“I am delighted to inform you that we have secured nomination forms for all prospective contestants into positions at the Wards and Local Governments in compliance with the set guidelines for the exercise,” Barrister Mustapha told newsmen.
He added that the Bashir Bolarinwa Omolaja-led executive of the party has notified relevant agencies as required by the Electoral Act, 2006 (As Amended).
According to him, the national leadership of the party, currently led by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni cannot be absolved of the crisis rocking the party in Kwara State.
“Gentlemen of the press, I am delighted to inform you that we have secured nomination forms for all prospective contestants into positions at the Wards and Local Governments in compliance with the set guidelines for the exercise,” he confirmed.
According to him, their group have notified the relevant agencies as required by the Electoral Act, 2006 (As Amended).
