Working alongside members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), the troops moved into the area and applied pressure on the attackers, forcing them to abandon Mrs Adekemi Idowu and her six-month-old child along the Oro axis.
The rescued victims were safely recovered and reunited with their family, while security forces sustained pursuit operations against the fleeing assailants.
Army authorities reaffirmed that operations would continue across vulnerable communities to disrupt criminal networks and deny armed groups freedom of movement.
The Brigade also encouraged residents to provide timely and credible information to support security efforts and strengthen early response mechanisms.
The operation reinforces the Nigerian Army’s continued focus on protecting lives, securing communities and degrading criminal threats across affected areas.
