Candidate Declaration: President Tinubu Arrives In APC Collation Centre

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2026 Presidential Primary Election collation and declaration ceremony.

This is where he will be formally handed the party’s certificate and flag as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

President Tinubu arrived at the venue alongside the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and the APC National Party Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, about 4.09 p.m. and was received by Vice President Kashim Shettima, principal officers of the National Assembly, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau. Others are the Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, alongside other senior party leaders and chieftains.

Earlier at the collation centre before President Tinubu’s arrival, State Governors who are returning officers of the party’s presidential primaries across the States took their turns to present results of clean sweep in the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary election across the states.

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, said “collated results from all 11 local government areas of the State showed that President Tinubu polled 450,517 votes, while his opponent, Mr Stanley Osifo, recorded zero.

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State and collation officer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary,Pastor Umo Eno, announced President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the All Progressives Congress presidential primary in the state with 389,197 votes.

In Rivers State, President Tinubu polled 280,468 votes while his sole challenger, Stanley Osifo recorded zero votes across the state’s 23 local government areas, according to Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

In Edo State, President Tinubu secured 131,096 votes against Mr Osifo’s one vote. Governor Monday Okpebholo, who served as the returning officer, described the process as peaceful and transparent.

A similar outcome was recorded in Osun State, where the president garnered 100,880 votes and Mr Osifo received no votes. Minister Adegboyega Oyetola, who served as collation officer.

He described the exercise as peaceful and said the massive turnout reflected strong support for the president’s leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In Ebonyi State, Mr Tinubu swept all 207,579 valid votes cast across the 13 LGAs, with Mr Osifo recording none. Governor Francis Nwifuru, who announced the result, said the primary was conducted simultaneously across 171 wards.

In Kwara State, Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq declared Mr Tinubu the winner with 310,990 votes against Mr Osifo’s zero. A total of 457,374 party members were registered, while 310,990 were accredited for the exercise.

In Bayelsa State, Mr Tinubu polled 277,192 votes, while Mr Osifo managed five votes. In Zamfara State, the incumbent recorded 321,579 votes against the challenger’s 42. Governor Dauda Lawal formally declared Mr Tinubu the winner of the state’s primary…
