A 30-minute documentary highlighting the killing of journalists in Gaza premiered on Sunday at the 60th Annual UK Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, held at Hadeeqatul Mahdi, Alton, Hampshire, United Kingdom.
The film, titled “Gaza: A Graveyard for Journalists”, was produced by AnalystNews in collaboration with the Outreach and Public Relations Department of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK. It was screened on the final day of the three-day Islamic conference.
According to the latest figures, more than 250 journalists in Gaza have been killed by the Israeli military amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas and in Palestinian-occupied areas.
The Cost of Reporting in Gaza
The documentary presents evidence that more journalists have been killed in Gaza than in any other conflict in modern history.
Through eyewitness accounts, expert analysis, and documented footage, “Gaza: A Graveyard for Journalists” examines allegations of the systematic targeting of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli military, and what it describes as inadequate global coverage of the killings.

The film asks: “When those risking their lives to tell the truth are silenced, who is left to carry their voices?”
A New Generation Steps Forward
Despite the losses, the documentary notes that children of slain journalists in Gaza are taking up reporting duties to continue covering developments in the territory.
Speaking after the screening, Atif Rasheed, Media Lead at AnalystNews, said the organisation was driven by the need to hold the Israeli military accountable and to keep advocacy for journalists in Gaza alive.
The International Federation of Journalists, IFJ, states that for the past 24 months, Gaza has been the most dangerous place in the world to practice journalism.
The IFJ said that Israel’s restriction on foreign journalists entering Gaza means reporting now depends largely on Palestinian journalists, most of whom are members of the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, an IFJ affiliate.
The session, hosted by the Ahmadiyya UK Outreach and Public Relations Department, ended with a question-and-answer segment.
