Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has called on Christians to translate their faith and prayers into meaningful action as they celebrate Easter.
While emphasising the need for unity, love, and collective responsibility in building a better society, the Governor urged residents to reflect on the suffering and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a goodwill message to mark the Easter celebration, Governor Fintiri noted that the season symbolises hope and the triumph of life over adversity.

He described Easter as a period of sacrifice, reminding Christians of the ultimate sacrifice made for humanity.
According to him, the season offers an opportunity for selflessness, forgiveness, and peaceful coexistence among citizens.
Governor Fintiri encouraged the people of the state to remain united and committed to building a state they can be proud of, stressing the importance of mutual understanding and forgiveness in fostering lasting peace.
He also called on Christians to extend love to the less privileged by offering support and kindness, in line with the teachings and example of Christ.
Reflecting on the state’s journey, the Governor urged citizens to appreciate God’s role in sustaining Adamawa through challenging times, noting that resilience and progress have been achieved through collective effort and faith.
Fintiri further warned against division and misinformation, urging residents to promote unity and work together for the common good.
He emphasised the need for hard work, personal responsibility, and self-reliance while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to ensuring security and deploying necessary resources to sustain peace across the state.
The Governor added that true distinction should come from positive actions and the impact individuals make in the lives of others.
He wished Christians a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration, expressing hope that the season would bring blessings and a renewed commitment to service and humanity.
