Edo 2020: Governor Seyi Makinde Rewards Oyo Medalists

Athletes of the Oyo State contingent of the 20th National Sports Festival, tagged Edo 2020, that won medals have cause to jubilate as State Governor Seyi Makinde announced cash rewards for both the medalists and their coaches.

At the festival, the state presented 230 athletes, 55 coaches, and 44 support officials and personnel, making a total of 329 contingents who participated in 22 events, both male and female categories.

Team Oyo finished the competition with 31 gold medals, 30 silver medals and 42 bronze medals, placing the state in the sixth position on the final medals table.
