The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has described a report on social media as fake, indicating his support for the Labour Party (LP) Governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Senator Ishaku Abbo.
The FCT Minister, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, said he has no relationship with LP or any of its candidates in Adamawa State.
The social media post had quoted Wike as saying that people of Adamawa State should make informed and thoughtful decisions at the ballot, stating that, in his opinion, Ishaku Abbo is the best fit for the leadership of the state.
However, the FCT minister described the report as fake, saying he did not at any time endorse Ishaku Abbo or any candidate of the LP.
He called on the people of Adamawa State to disregard the social media report, saying that whoever he is supporting, he will use his own mouth to say it.
