Nigerian singer-songwriter Afolarin Odunlami, popularly known as Fola, is set to return to Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, for his homecoming concert scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Agodi Gardens.
Fola, who hails from Ibadan, gained recognition with his 2022 single, “Ginger Me,” and his 2024 debut EP, What A Feeling.
His song, “Alone,” featuring BhadBoi OML, reached number one on Nigeria’s Official Streaming Songs chart, while his January 2026 collaboration with Shoday, “Paparazzi,” topped the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart.
The artiste has also featured on songs with prominent Nigerian musicians, including BNXN’s “Very Soon,” Wizkid and DJ Tunez’s “One Condition,” and Davido’s “B4 B4,” from the album Oriadé.
Fola released his debut studio album, Catharsis, in September 2025.
The homecoming concert is expected to feature appearances by some of his fellow artistes, including Zlatan, Ayo Maff and Mayorkun, among others.
The participation of the artistes is expected to add to the attraction of the concert, with fans looking forward to seeing them perform alongside Fola in Ibadan.
The event has generated interest among young people and entertainment enthusiasts in the city, with social media conversations about the concert increasing ahead of Saturday’s show.
Adding to the event’s preparations, Stanley Olajide Odidiomo recently endorsed the concert and purchased 500 tickets for youths in Ibadan, enabling them to attend the event.
Odidiomo welcomed Fola’s return to the city and expressed his readiness to receive the Ibadan-born artiste.
The concert is also expected to attract celebrities, business leaders, socialites and other guests as Fola returns to his hometown for the performance.
