Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor at a dinner organised by the Nigeria-Central Europe Chamber of Commerce (NCECC), the Deputy Governor, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, attributed the recognition to initiatives such as the Gombe Industrial Park and other industrial and cottage industry development projects undertaken by the state government.

Dr Jatau called on the Chamber and the Czech Republic to explore investment opportunities in Gombe State, particularly in trade facilitation, capacity building, technology transfer, biotechnology, nanotechnology, cybersecurity and industrial automation.

He also invited the Czech Government and its business community to take advantage of the state’s investment-friendly environment to strengthen economic cooperation between both parties.

The Deputy Governor congratulated Dr Gwamna on his recognition and urged him to use his membership of the NCECC Advisory Council to support the Chamber’s development initiatives.

The Czech Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Tomáš Výprachtický, reaffirmed his country’s willingness to explore areas of partnership with Gombe State.

Ambassador Výprachtický identified healthcare, agriculture, energy, education, infrastructure, industrial development and technological innovation as potential areas of cooperation.

Also speaking, Dr Gwamna expressed appreciation for the recognition, describing his association with the Chamber as an opportunity to gain valuable insights into governance and development.

He pledged that, “if elected governor, he would work to transform Gombe State into a hub for technology and innovation”.

The event highlighted opportunities for stronger economic cooperation between Nigeria and the Czech Republic, with Gombe State seeking to position itself as a strategic partner in industrial development, investment and technological advancement.
