Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his retention as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
Governor Radda said the President’s decision reflected confidence in the Vice President’s performance and contributions to the administration over the years.
“Vice President Shettima has served with diligence, and the President’s decision to retain him speaks to his performance and loyalty,” the governor said.
Radda noted that Shettima had played key roles in several national initiatives, including chairing the Presidential Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), leading efforts on energy security and participating in the administration’s economic policy discussions.
According to the governor, these responsibilities required considerable administrative experience and sound political judgement.
“The President’s decision to retain Vice President Shettima indicates his satisfaction with the manner in which these responsibilities have been handled,” he added.
Governor Radda, on behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, congratulated the Vice President on his retention, describing it as recognition of his hard work, dedication and commitment to national service.
He expressed confidence that Shettima would continue to contribute to the success of the Tinubu administration if re-elected.
