American actor/comedian Jamie Foxx has announced that he will unveil a book on his family life.

The book titled ‘ACT LIKE YOU GOT SOME SENSE,’ chronicles his rocky parenting journey through priceless stories about the tough love and old-school values he learned growing up in the small town of Terrell, Texas.

It also focuses on his early days trying to make it in Hollywood; and life after achieving stardom.

Foxx took to Instagram to explain more about his upcoming publication – which he described as hilarious, poignant, and brutally honest.

Act Like You Got Some Sense” dropping October 19th. I put my heart and soul into this and I guarantee you it is incredible pre-order now,” he said.

Foxx is widely celebrated for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 biographical film Ray, for which he won the Academy Award, BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild Award, Critics’ Choice Movie Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, becoming the second actor to win all five major lead actor awards for the same performance.
