Johnny Drille releases debut album
Nigerian artiste, Johnny Drille has released his long awaited debut album ‘Before We Fall Asleep’
Drille announced the album on his Instagram page nine days ago “My debut album is now 9 days away. I’ve never been this excited. I hope you’re as excited as I am Sept 3, we feast.”
A day before release, he wrote that, “My first ever album is out at midnight and I can’t describe how surreal this feels. I’ve waited for this moment for a long time, I hope you share in my happiness and excitement. We’re counting down just before midnight, join my IG Live!

The album which is a mixture of Pop, Folk, R&B, Alternative genres was released today, Friday the 3rd of September 2021. It contains 14 songs and features a number of artistes including the Lagos Community Choir.
John Ighodaro who is professionally known as Johnny Drille, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter whose career came into the spotlight when he released a cover of “Awww” by Di’Ja. He is currently signed to Mavin Records.
