Market capitalisation advances by N44bn

At the Close of Wednesday’s trading,the market capitalisation of equities rose by N44 billion to close at N20.070 trillion as against N20.026 trillion on Tuesday. Also,the all share index increased by 0.22% or 83.27 points to close at 38,501.31 points compared to 38,418.04 points on Tuesday.

A total of 296.09 million shares valued at N2.56 billion were traded in 4507 deals on Wednesday.

The day’s trading ended with 22 gainers and 14 losers .

Cutix led the gainers with N0.33k gain to close at N3.63k.It was followed by John Holt with N0.06k gain to close at N0.67k and UACN property Development Company which closed at N1.13k.

Conversely, BOC gases Nigeria lost N0.85k to close at N7.70k,followed by Berger paints with N0.95k loss to close at N8.90k then Courtville lost N0.01k to close at N.0.21k.

First bank Nigeria Holdings recorded the highest volume of 34.8 million traded shares followed by Access bank with 28.69 million shares.
