NFF, FIFA To Present Nigeria’s Amateur Football Report

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and FIFA will on Wednesday and Thursday in Abuja present the Amateur Football Environment Report of Nigeria, which is the product of a multi-year analysis of the Nigeria game’s lower cadre.

The presentation will be by the Global Football Development Division at FIFA, in conjunction with the NFF. The two-day event will take place at the Sandralia Hotel in the Wuye area of the city.

FIFA technical experts Amr Moheb (Amateur Football Analysis Manager) and Etienne Sockeng (Regional Technical Consultant, FIFA Global Football Development Division), will lead the presentation.

NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, will declare the event open on Wednesday, which is the day scheduled for the Executive Committee, Management and Staff of the NFF to receive the presentation.

On Thursday, it will be the turn of NFF and its external stakeholders, including the National Sports Commission, Federal Ministry of Education, Nigeria Olympic Committee, National Institute for Sports, NFF Technical and Development Committee, Nigeria Football Coaches Association.

Also, the School Football Organisations, Women’s Football Committee, representatives of the Leagues, Sporting Media, Medical Committee, Referees Committee, coaches of junior national teams, Beach Soccer & Futsal League board, and Clubs & Academies.

The presentation is expected to offer valuable insights on the amateur football environment in Nigeria, including an overview of the structures and activities.

The sessions will offer space to different stakeholders involved at the amateur level of the game to interact and explore avenues for collaboration, with the ultimate objective of taking the amateur game to new heights.
