The Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group PLC) has posted its strongest first-half performance on record, with profit before tax climbing 170% to ₦14.76 billion.

The Group also announced an interim dividend of ₦1.30k per ordinary share for the six months ended 30th June, 2026.

Data showed revenue for the period under review rose 118% to ₦17.60 billion, up from ₦8.08 billion in the corresponding period of 2025, driven largely by a surge in market activity.

Total income grew 96% to ₦19.34 billion from ₦9.86 billion a year earlier.

Transaction fees, the biggest driver of the growth, jumped 169% to ₦13.34 billion from ₦4.96 billion, while listing fees rose 59% to ₦2.38 billion and technology income increased 19% to ₦447.86 million.

Operating profit rose 155% to ₦10.62 billion from ₦4.16 billion, which the company attributed to strong operating leverage as income growth outpaced the rise in operating expenses.

The Group’s share of profit from equity-accounted investees increased 130% to ₦4.14 billion, boosted mainly by the performance of Central Securities Clearing System Plc.

Commenting on the performance, the Group Chairman of the NGX Group, Umaru Kwairanga, said, “We are encouraged by the significant growth recorded across the business and by the increasing contribution of companies within the Group’s investment portfolio.

The Board remains committed to balancing attractive returns to shareholders with continued investment in the infrastructure, technology and strategic initiatives required to deepen Nigeria’s capital market and position NGX Group for sustainable growth.”
