Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Dr Florence Ajimobi, has presented her Letters of Credence to the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Dr Alexander Van der Bellen, formally commencing her duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
At the occasion, Ambassador Ajimobi expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the trust and confidence reposed in her, pledging to represent Nigeria with dignity, purpose and dedication.
She stated: “I accept this responsibility with humility, a strong sense of duty, and an unwavering commitment to representing Nigeria with dignity and purpose.”

Ajimobi described Nigeria and Austria’s diplomatic relations as longstanding, noting that significant opportunities exist to deepen cooperation in trade and investment, innovation, sustainable development, and people-to-people relations.
The Ambassador expressed her readiness to explore new avenues of mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthen the bonds of friendship between both countries.
She said: “As I begin this new chapter of service, I look forward to working to open new frontiers of mutually beneficial cooperation and to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between our two countries.”
Ajimobi reaffirmed her commitment to giving the responsibility her very best, protecting and advancing the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians with dedication and honour throughout her diplomatic assignment.
