By Chidi Nwoke, Abuja

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has unveiled a new logo as part of efforts to reposition the country’s top-flight competition and usher in a new phase of commercial development, while announcing Euromatch as the official sponsor.

The new logo was unveiled on Wednesday at the Abuja Continental Hotel during an event attended by key stakeholders in Nigerian football and representatives of the league’s new commercial partner, Euromatch.

The sponsorship marks a significant development in the league’s commercial drive as it seeks to strengthen its financial base, enhance brand visibility and increase the competition’s overall appeal.

The new logo is expected to give the NPFL a refreshed visual identity, while complementing ongoing efforts to improve the organisation, branding and marketing of the competition.

The partnership with Euromatch also represents another step in the league’s efforts to attract stronger corporate backing and build a more commercially sustainable platform for Nigerian professional football.

With the new sponsorship arrangement in place, attention will now shift to how the partnership translates into tangible benefits for the league, clubs, players and supporters, particularly in the areas of branding, fan engagement and competition development.

The NPFL remains Nigeria’s premier domestic football competition and an important pathway for developing players who go on to represent the country and pursue professional careers abroad.

Present at the unveiling ceremony were: Nigeria Football Federation President, Ibrahim Gusau; Nigeria Premier Football League Chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye; Chairman Euromatch Group, Sacli Semih; Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Jibrin Baba Ndace.
