The Governor of Oyo State and Presidential Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde has inaugurated the party’s apex campaign council in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
At the inauguration held at the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, Makinde urged members to engage stakeholders across the state and ensure an inclusive campaign structure.
The council is chaired by the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Nureni Adeniran, who will also serve as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the party’s governorship campaign in the state.

Members of the council include: a former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government Area, Saheed Arowosaye, as Deputy State Coordinator and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, as Deputy Director General (Oyo South).
There is also Dr Femi Ojo as Deputy Director General for Oyo Central Senatorial District and Alhaji Siju Lawal as Deputy Director General for Oyo North Senatorial District.
Others are Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo as Director, Women’s Wing and former Special Assistant (Youth) to Governor Makinde, Kazeem Bolarinwa, as Director, Youth Wing.
Governor Makinde urged members of the Campaign Council to engage leaders of the Allied People’s Movement and integrate existing structures and platforms without delay.
The Inauguration Ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal; the APM Gubernatorial Candidate, Bimbo Adkins, and his running mate, Mufutau Open Salawu; the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Babatunde; the Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, and the Senior Executive Assistant to the Governor on General Duties, Chief Bayo Lawal.
