The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, are set to host the third edition of the Expatriates Business Awards (TEBA) in Abuja.
The event, Nigeria’s premier platform for recognising the contributions of expatriate businesses, foreign missions, international organizations, and migrant communities to the country’s economic growth and development, is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Rotunda Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.
Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu will serve as the Chief Host, while Festus Keyamo will be the Host. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed, will attend as the Special Guest of Honour. Also expected are the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mahmud Adam Kambari, diplomats, senior government officials, captains of industry, members of the diplomatic corps, and business leaders from across the international community.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Director of Award, Dr. Odunola Abayomi, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described this year’s edition as a major milestone in strengthening Nigeria’s relationship with the international business community.
She said the Expatriates Business Awards have become Nigeria’s foremost platform for recognising expatriate investors, foreign missions, international organisations, and migrant communities whose investments, innovation, and partnerships continue to create jobs, promote technology transfer, and drive sustainable economic growth.
“This year’s edition will be bigger and more impactful, honouring individuals and organisations whose commitment to Nigeria has strengthened investor confidence and enhanced bilateral and multilateral relations,” she said.
According to her, the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs as Chief Host underscores the growing importance of international partnerships in advancing Nigeria’s development agenda.
She noted that TEBA has evolved into a unique platform that promotes economic diplomacy, celebrates excellence, and encourages greater foreign participation in Nigeria’s investment landscape.
As a trademarked initiative, the Expatriates Business Awards continues to distinguish itself as Nigeria’s leading recognition platform for expatriate businesses and international stakeholders.
The ceremony will feature the presentation of awards, cultural performances, high-level networking sessions, and entertainment, showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage while strengthening partnerships between the country and the global business community.
