President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, as a dependable political ally distinguished by intellectual rigour, entrepreneurial drive and an enduring commitment to public service.
The President stated this in a congratulatory message signed by his Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, to mark Jibrin’s 50th birthday.
President Tinubu commended Jibrin’s lifelong pursuit of knowledge, noting that his academic background at the University of Abuja, Ahmadu Bello University, SBS Swiss Business School in Switzerland, Bayero University and other leading institutions reflected an uncommon appetite for learning, excellence and global perspectives.
He said the experiences had continued to shape Jibrin’s approach to leadership and public service.
Jibrin holds two PhDs in International Relations and Economics, as well as an MBA from Bayero University.
He also complemented his academic qualifications with executive education at Harvard Business School, Oxford and London Business Schools, and INSEAD in France.
President Tinubu further acknowledged Jibrin’s public service record, including his chairmanship of the House Committees on Finance, Appropriations, Land Transport, Foreign Affairs, and Housing and Habitat.
In those roles, the President said, Jibrin engaged with some of the most consequential issues concerning Nigeria’s public finance, fiscal policy, infrastructure and housing.
He also served as Executive Director of the Federal Housing Authority.
“Abdulmumin Jibrin represents a generation of Nigerians whose pursuit of knowledge, enterprise and public service has been driven by a desire to make a difference.
“His journey from scholarship and business into national politics reflects intellectual curiosity, resilience and a deep commitment to Nigeria. At 50, he has much to celebrate, but I am confident that his most consequential contributions to our nation are still ahead,” President Tinubu said.
As Jibrin marks his 50th birthday, the President wishes him renewed strength, sound health, wisdom and greater fulfilment.
He urged the lawmaker to continue using his experience and knowledge to mentor younger Nigerians, strengthen democratic institutions and contribute to the development of Kano State and the country.
