The Rivers State Police Command in South-South Nigeria, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with sister agencies to enhance peace and security across the state.
The Commissioner for Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, made this known when the Comptroller of Immigration Services, Rivers State Command, LU Anatogu, and the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dennis Reuben, paid separate courtesy visits to the Command.
The visits provided an opportunity for the security agencies to review areas of mutual interest and strengthen existing partnerships in the collective fight against crime and emerging threats in Rivers State.

Receiving the security commanders, Adepoju emphasised the importance of effective communication, intelligence sharing and coordinated operations amongst the agencies.
He said, “effective communication, intelligence sharing and coordinated operations remain critical to protecting lives and property and sustaining peace across Rivers State.”
The commissioner further reaffirmed the Police’s commitment to maintaining strong, cordial and result-oriented relationships with sister agencies, stressing that security challenges require collective efforts and coordinated responses.
The engagements also underscored the importance of building a united security architecture in which agencies work seamlessly together to safeguard residents and enhance public safety across the state.
The visits culminated in the exchange of plaques, symbolising mutual respect, enduring partnership and a shared commitment by the agencies to strengthening security and maintaining peace in Rivers State.
