Russian air strikes have again hit the Southern Bridge in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Friday.
Klitschko said the strikes damaged the bridge and other parts of the city, while a fire broke out on the upper floors of an apartment building.
Traffic on the Southern Bridge and the nearby Paton Bridge was suspended in both directions, with authorities directing motorists to alternative routes.
The latest strikes came a day after Russian drones hit a school and the Southern Bridge, triggering fires in Kyiv.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones targeted industrial facilities in the Russian city of Volgograd, where a large oil refinery is located, according to the regional governor.
The governor said the strikes caused a fire at an industrial facility and injured one person after a drone hit an apartment building.
Ukraine has repeatedly targeted Russian oil refineries and other energy facilities during the war. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said the attacks have reduced Russia’s gross domestic product by 1%, while disruption to fuel supplies has led to long queues at petrol stations in some areas.
