Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has pledged the state’s full support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election, declaring that Taraba is “100 per cent” behind the APC.
Governor Kefas made the declaration on Wednesday, after a meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he said federal interventions in security, education, healthcare and infrastructure were making a visible impact across Taraba State.
The governor, who also leads the APC in the state, said his visit was partly to welcome the President back and to convey condolences over the recent Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State.
He described the incident, which claimed the lives of military personnel and other citizens, as a national tragedy deserving of collective sympathy.

“I’m also the leader of the party in my state, so I came to welcome the President home and also to condole him over the incident of the crash of the Nigerian Air Force plane and also the officers and men and citizens of this country that were involved in the crash,” Kefas said.
Beyond the condolence visit, the governor praised the impact of the Tinubu administration’s interventions in Taraba, saying residents were directly benefiting from federal support across critical sectors.
Deepen Public Support
According to him, improved security, free education, healthcare services and infrastructure development had strengthened confidence in the Nigerian Government and deepened public support for the President.
“You can see that I’m on ground, we’re in charge. All the interventions, all the support from the President, the people are feeling it, from security to free education to healthcare system to infrastructure,” he said.
Kefas said the benefits of the Nigerian Government’s programmes had reinforced the people’s confidence in President Tinubu and strengthened their resolve to support him in the next presidential election.
“So the people have no doubt, and they’ve given all the assurance that Mr President is reaching out to them through me, and for that reason, they are going to vote for Mr President,” he said.
The governor consequently declared: Taraba State as a state belonging to APC 100 per cent.
