World Record holder, Tobi Amusan, has won gold for Team Nigeria in the Women’s 100m Hurdles on Day 2 of the African Athletics Championships in Accra, Ghana, adding to her rich medal haul on continental level.
Compatriot Adaobi Tabugbo also won bronze in the same category, adding to Team Nigeria’s excellent performance since day 1 of the championships.

The win is Amusan’s third African Championships gold and it was presented to her by World Athletics President, Sebastian Coe.
Amusan, who has consistently carried the weight of national and continental expectations, proved why she remains the undisputed champion by delivering a flawless technical performance from the first hurdle to the finish line.
Beyond the individual glory, Amusan’s victory provided a significant boost to Team Nigeria’s overall standings on the medals table. As a senior member of the contingent, her success continues to inspire the younger generation of Nigerian athletes competing in Accra.
