Troops of Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued a kidnapped victim in Kaduna State and foiled a terrorist attack in Sokoto State as security operations continue across the North-West.

According to the Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force North West, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, troops of Sector 1 rescued a 43-year-old man abducted around Awon Community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State on 20 August.

The troops responded to a distress call and pursued the abductors into surrounding bushes, forcing them to abandon their captive and flee. The rescued victim was subsequently reunited with his family.
