Pop queen Madonna has decided to open her heart and do some more charity work. The star has opened a dance academy in Malawi for children who want to pursue dancing. She opened the dance academy for the children of the Jacaranda Orphanage. This is not the first time that Madonna has done charity work in Malawi. In 2006 she founded the organization Raising Malawi along with Michael Berg and has been doing work in the country ever since.

The charity is focused on helping people who are suffering from extreme poverty. Madonna has six children. Four of which she has adopted from Malawi. The US Queen of Pop spoke about how she feels about the new dance academy during a speech.

“Jacaranda is a very special place, as you know. The reason it’s so special to me – not only because there are so many amazing, talented children here – but there are also amazing teachers, and the founders are so passionate about what you do. It’s contagious,” she said.

“What’s going to keep us going is loving what we do and it’s great that you’ve created a place where children can come and continue to learn and love what they do,” said the 62-year-old.

Madonna said that she would be happy that the children would be learning skills such as visual arts, designing clothes, playing musical instruments, and dancing which she described as her first love.
