Nigeria’s Vice President, VP Kashim Shettima has arrived in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital on a one day official visit to the State.
The Vice President is in the State to inaugurate some projects executed by the Nasarawa State government.
The projects include the Kilema bridge, Maimatasa and Kashim Shettima roads recently constructed by the State government.

The bridge and roads located in Lafia town will boost transportation network and economic activities in Lafia and environs.

Upon arrival, VP Shettima was received by the Governor of the State, Abdullahi Sule.
Others who joined the Governor to receive the Vice President were the State’s Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe, Senator Ahmed Wadada and former Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Adamu.

The Vice President will also participate in the 70th birthday celebration of the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Mohammed Bage.
As part of activities commemorating the 70th birthday of the monarch, the Vice President will also commission a hall at the Emir of Lafia’s palace named after him.
