Women Affairs Minister Mourns NPC Chairman, Aminu Yusuf

The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has described the late Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Aminu Yusuf, as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to credible population data, civil registration and national planning would not be forgotten.

Sulaiman-Ibrahim, in a condolence message on  behalf of  the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, said Yusuf’s commitment to public service and the vision he brought to the Commission had made a meaningful difference despite his brief tenure.

She said his efforts towards improving population data and civil registration were particularly significant to Nigeria’s national planning.

The Minister on behalf of her family also extended her deepest condolences to Yusuf’s family, colleagues and loved ones, praying that Almighty Allah strengthen the deceased’s family,  forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, while giving his family the strength to bear this painful loss.May his memory remain a blessing.” she prayed.
