Re-elected lawmaker promises more dividends of democracy
Mr Mohammed Omadefu, re-elected member representing Keana constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has assured his constituents of more dividends of democracy.
Omadefu, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Information, made the pledged while playing host to Butchers Association of Nigeria, Keana Branch, in Lafia on Tuesday.
The lawmaker appreciated the members of the association for identifying with him at his joyful moment over his election victory.
“By God’s grace, I will continue to bring more dividends of democracy to your door steps and communites across Keana.
“I will continue to empower Keanans and other citizens in order to make them to be self reliant and to improve on their standard of living,” he said.
Omadefu, who outlined his achievements so far in office, promised to do more.
“I will do more by putting smiles in your faces and the faces of other people of Keana,” he promised.
He called for the support of all and sundry to enable him succeed.
The lawmaker also called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
“This is to enable you and other people to continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy,” he said.
Earlier, Malam Yunusa Musa, the Chairman of the association, said that the visit was to congratulate Omadefu on his re-election to the House.
He also re-assured the lawmaker of their loyalty and support at all times.
The chairman called on the people of Keana to pray and support Omadefu to enable him succeed.
The next state legislature will be inaugurated in June, 2023 and Omadefu will be sworn-in for the second term.
