The United Nigeria Airlines has appointed a former Uganda Airlines Executive, Mr Adedayo Olawuyi as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
The airline’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Chibuike Uloka, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Uloka said the appointment of the Chief Commercial Officer at Uganda Airlines was part of efforts to strengthen the commercial operations and drive towards sustainable growth and expansion of the company.
“His appointment is expected to further position UNA for improved market competitiveness, enhanced customer experience, and expanded route offerings within and beyond Nigeria.
“United Nigeria is confident that his experience and leadership will enhance our commercial performance and support the achievement of our strategic growth objectives,” he said.
Uloka said that Olawuyi had more than 18 years experience in the Aviation industry with a strong track record in commercial strategy, network and schedule planning, revenue management, and business development.
Olawuyi holds an Executive Master of Science in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan.
He had completed several professional development programmes with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other global aviation institutions.
Olawuyi also held senior leadership positions at Africa World Airlines (AWA), Ghana, including Head of Commercial, and served as Head, Business Intelligence and Strategy at EAN Aviation Limited.
He held multiple roles at the Air Nigeria (formerly Virgin Nigeria Airways), spanning commercial planning, network analysis, and ground operations.
