The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the composition of its National Campaign Council and sub-committees for the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
According to a notice signed by the party’s National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, will chair the National Campaign Council.
The council’s co-chairmen are Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas. Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari, will serve as Deputy Chairman, while Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin is the Secretary.
The APC said the council comprises party leaders, governors, members of the National Working Committee, principal officers of the National Assembly, ministers, lawmakers, and other stakeholders tasked with leading the party’s campaign in Osun.

The party also constituted specialised sub-committees to oversee election planning, finance, grassroots mobilisation, logistics, media and publicity, security, youth and women’s mobilisation, persons with disabilities, protocol, monitoring, and secretariat functions.
The National Campaign Council and its sub-committees will be inaugurated on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Event Centre, Abuja, at 12 noon.
