The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has launched a free one-month digital skills training programme for secondary school students and young people to deepen digital literacy and prepare them for opportunities in the technology-driven economy.
Soludo, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, is implementing the programme through her non-governmental organisation to bridge the digital skills gap among young Nigerians.
The training, which focuses on basic computer knowledge and digital literacy, is scheduled to commence on Monday, August 24, 2026, and will be held three times weekly for one month at the Healthy Living Complex, No. 6 Road 13, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka.

In a statement signed by her Media Aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, the organisation said the programme was designed to equip participants with practical digital competencies needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Ezeigwe said the free training was open to secondary school students and young people seeking to acquire foundational computer skills to improve their educational, entrepreneurial and employment prospects.
The organisation noted that digital literacy had become essential for education, innovation, entrepreneurship and workforce development, stressing that early exposure to computer skills would better position young people to participate in Nigeria’s expanding digital economy.
The Media Aide said the programme would complement ongoing efforts to promote digital inclusion, youth empowerment and human capital development through increased access to technology education.
Participants will undergo one month of training, with classes held three times weekly.
