Former member of the House of Representatives and President of GLOBE Legislators International, Sam Onuigbo, has launched a campaign for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Onuigbo launched the campaign during a stakeholders’ meeting in Obuohia Obi-Ibere, Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State.
The campaign is being coordinated through the Odozi Obodo Campaign Organisation for President Tinubu, established to mobilise support for the President.
Speaking at the meeting, Onuigbo urged Nigerians to support Tinubu for a second term, saying “continuity would enable the administration to consolidate its economic reforms and development programmes.”
He cited the removal of fuel subsidy, exchange-rate reforms and initiatives in the oil and gas sector as areas where he said; “the administration had made progress.”
Onuigbo also highlighted the establishment of the South-East Development Commission and other projects in the region as “evidence of the administration’s attention to the South-East.”
He called on political stakeholders and supporters of the President to remain focused on the 2027 election and support policies aimed at strengthening the economy and promoting sustainable development.
