The Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, has commended Nigeria’s representative at the Miss World 2026 pageant, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, for her outstanding performance at the global competition in Vietnam.
In a statement posted on X on Sunday, Musawa praised Karibi-George, popularly known as Soye, for representing Nigeria with “grace, confidence and excellence” throughout the competition.
“From the very beginning to the final stage, you carried yourself with grace, confidence and excellence, representing our country beautifully on the world stage,” the minister stated.

“What you have achieved at Miss World is a reflection of your talent, character and determination. I have no doubt that this experience will be a strong foundation for even greater things ahead. I look forward to seeing the incredible exploits you will go on to achieve and the many more lives you will inspire along the way,” Musawa noted.
The minister maintained that Nigeria was proud of Karibi-George’s achievement and looked forward to welcoming her home.
“We are proud of you, Queen @soye_kg. We look forward to welcoming you home and celebrating you. Keep shining, keep inspiring and keep making Nigeria proud,” she stressed.
Karibi-George advanced to the Top 12 at the Miss World 2026 grand finale held on September 5 in Nha Trang, Vietnam, after winning the Africa Top Model title.
