The wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo has received the 2026 National Leadership Conference (NLC) Award for Excellence in Social Impact Leadership in recognition of her contributions to social and community development in Nigeria.
The award was presented during the GOTNI Leadership Centre Awards at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, in recognition of Soludo’s work in grassroots community development, health initiatives and humanitarian service in Anambra State.
Former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, presented the award on behalf of the organisers and commended Soludo’s contributions to public service, grassroots development and efforts to support vulnerable communities.

Mrs Soludo was represented at the ceremony by her daughter, Adaora Soludo, who received the award on her behalf.
The award was earlier communicated to Soludo in a notification letter signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the GOTNI Leadership Centre, Mr Linus Okorie.
The organisers said Mrs Soludo was selected alongside other leaders “who are shaping the future and redefining what is possible.”
The letter further stated: “Your recognition is based on your leadership and contribution.”
Reacting to the recognition in a statement issued in Awka, Mrs Soludo expressed gratitude for the award and dedicated it to those involved in the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative.
“I received the National Leadership Conference 2026 Award for Excellence in Social Impact Leadership, and I receive this honour with deep gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility,” she stated.
“I dedicate this special recognition to every person who has contributed, in one way or another, to the growth and impact of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative,” she noted.
“To our volunteers, coordinators, partners, health workers, teachers, community leaders and every member of our great team who continues to give their time, energy and heart to this work, thank you. Your tireless efforts are the reason Healthy Living has grown into a crusade touching lives across Anambra and beyond,” Soludo emphasised.
“We will keep showing up, keep serving and keep doing the work. There is still so much more to do,” she disclosed.
“Thank you, GOTNI Leadership Centre, for this recognition, and thank you to everyone who has made the Healthy Living journey what it is today. I love you all so much,” Soludo added.
