Nigeria’s Minister of Works, David Umahi has expressed happiness over the high turnout of voters who came out to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
Umahi expressed his delight after voting at his ward, Umunaga Primary School in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria.
He said the ward gave President Tinubu over 6000 votes.
There was no presidential contender against the President in that ward.
“There was no burial, no market open and no wedding took place today just to make President Bola Ahmed Tinubu happy by winning the election for him.
“You can see that both men and women came out en mass to vote for the President to continue his good governance in the Country,” he said.
The Governor of the State, Francis Nwifuru said he was not surprised over the high turnout of people to vote for the President’s second term.
Nwifuru said the Renewed Hope Initiative is what has been speaking for President Tinubu in Ebonyi State.
