‘Black Widow’ red carpet screening excites London residents
London residents descended on Leicester Square to catch a glimpse of the red carpet screening of the Marvel studio production ‘Black Widow,’
For London’s movie goers, the screening signalled that cinema life may just have rebounded after the months of lockdowns – no thanks to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Plans to release ‘Black Widow‘ was initially scheduled for release in 2020 but was postponed because of the global health emergency.
Therefore, it was a wonderful opportunity for residents of London to witness the screening.
Fans came out decked in costumes of many ‘Avengers’ characters.
Relief
Florence Pugh – a cast member of the movie – said it was a big relief to mingle with the great multitude of movie goers and witness the spectacle of yet another Marvel franchise.
“From start to finish, this whole experience has been so absolutely crazy and the added time of two years has made it feel like it’s still not real,” she said.
“So the fact that people are possibly dressing up as Yelena and Natasha is so beautiful. I’m just really excited for people to see it. It’s been it’s been a long time.”

“Black Widow” features Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow.
It will be released both in cinemas and on the Disney+ streaming service next week.
