Company Unveils Video Doorbell To Enhance Security

An African distributor of tech and lifestyle products, TD Africa, has unveiled a smart security doorbell to enhance safety of lives and property.

At the unveiling of the Rung Video Doorbell in Lagos, the Chairman of the Board of MTN Nigeria, Mr Ernest Ndukwe, said it came at a time that there was need for Nigerians to be more security conscious.

The Ring is a smart doorbell that provides an extra layer of security through a variety of features.

Ndukwe said that the device would be beneficial to all and sundry.

The Chairman of the Zinox Group, Mr LeoStan Ekeh, said that technology was getting more exciting and consolidating as it brought about ease of doing things.

Ekeh said that insecurity was a challenge globally, that the device would help to curb it.

According to him, Nigeria is a country of opportunities, and leveraging on technology will provide a safer environment.

Collective Effort

He called for a collective effort to end insecurity, stating that the Ring would help to keep immediate environments safe.

The Coordinating Managing Director of TD Africa, Mrs Chioma Chimere, described Ring as a reliable, easy-to-install, do-it-yourself home security device that would give families peace of mind.

Chimere said that while using a device such as Ring Video Doorbell, homeowners could see, hear and speak to anyone at their front doors, from their compatible phones or tablets, even in the dark.

The Vice President of Emerging Markets at Ring, an Amazon company,  Mohammad Meraj Hoda, said that the mission of Ring was to make neighbourhoods safer.
