The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr Jamil Gwamna, has launched a grassroots mobilisation initiative, tagged ‘Operation Deliver Your Ward’, urging party members to strengthen support across their wards and polling units ahead of the 2027 elections.
Gwamna unveiled the initiative during the celebration of Gombe State’s 30th anniversary, calling on party faithful to take mobilisation efforts directly to their communities.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Shawai, the APC candidate said political strength and influence should be measured by the ability to mobilise grassroots support, beginning at polling unit level and extending to the ward.
He said that, under the current political dispensation, he would place the highest value on political associates and supporters who demonstrated commitment by mobilising effectively, winning their polling units and delivering their wards for the APC.
Gwamna also urged party members to put aside their differences, close ranks and work together, likening the party’s strength to the strands of a broom bound together.
“We will continue to reach every nook and cranny of Gombe State to seek support and votes,” he said.
He further called on voluntary organisations, support groups, youths, women and other party stakeholders to intensify grassroots engagement, strengthen party structures and mobilise support.
The APC governorship candidate reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful and responsible leadership, assuring the people of Gombe State that, if elected, he would govern with justice, honesty and accountability.
